Bangkok Metro - Subway I BTS Skytrain

There are two lines BTS (BTS) that meet at the Siam station and an underground line (MRT)BTS serves Bangkok International Airport (Suvarnabhumi) from the station Payathai <> Airport

There are several types of underground in Bangkok.

The BTS Skytrain or BTS is called the (Bangkok Mass Transit System)
There are 2 lines of Skytrain in Bangkok

  • The Sukhumvit line from Mo Chit to Bearing
  • The Silom line from the National Stadium in Wongwian Yai.

The MRT subway (Mass Rapid Transit)

  • The "Blue Line"
    It serves 18 stations linking the North Bangsue station to the main train station Hua Lumphong.

single ticket (From 16 Baht, up to 44 Baht path)

  • This ticket is valid for one trip, with a rate depending on the chosen destination. (From 16 Baht, up to 44 Baht path)
    \nValid for a trip to the date of purchase only.
    \nThe ticket will be kept to an automatic door to the exit.
    \nSingle trip tickets can be purchased at any machine issuing tickets (TIM), integrated ticketing machine (ITM) and the ticket vending machine (TVM).

Day pass (Price 140 Baht)

  • Valid for unlimited rides on the date of issue or registration only.
    \nNon refundable
    \nAvailable in all BTS wickets.

\nPassengers can buy a One-Day Pass at any BTS ticket.
\nTraveling Single tickets can be purchased at any ticket issuing machine.

BTS 30 days Smartpass

  • Traveling on passes valid for 30 days.
    \nunlimited travel distance for the specified number of journeys.
    \nPassengers should start to use the pass in the 45 days following the date of the first issue or last recharge, otherwise the value or trips become invalid for travel and can not be refunded.
    \nNew travel must then be added to validate a pass for other trips.

The life span of 5 years card starts from the date of issue.
\nThe cards can be recharged with trips after the first trip has been used, or validity expires during the promotion as specified by the regulations of the Company.

Passes are non-refundable.

This pass can only be used by local full-time students under the age of 23, according to date of birth on Citizen ID, currently studying in a university in Thailand or student in an academic institution recognized by the Ministry of Education.
\nThe identification of the student and citizen identification must be presented upon request by the BTS staff.
\nMisuse of the pass, or abuse happening conditions, will result in forfeiture of the pass with any remaining value. In addition, a fine up to 20 times the value of the pass will be imposed.
